Inset Day Training

For inset day this September, we provided professional development training at Edge Hill University, Liverpool, attended by teachers and professionals working in Early Years at local schools. We were asked to provide ideas for Outdoor and Creative Play throughout the seasons, with a focus on Literacy Outdoors. Ann gave a keynote speech and presentation in the morning, while Clare created a series of interactive displays to showcase creative play using natural materials and loose parts. This formed the basis of our practical late morning and afternoon workshops where we demoed ideas on a small scale, and practitioners could take some time to get creative with the resources and talk to their colleagues about what they would like to bring to their own practice. We received lots of lovely feedback from the day and would like to thank everyone who attended and organised the event! Below are some pictures to give a flavour of what we can offer…
